In this site-specific light installation I worked with the theme of mental illness and disorders. I was inspired by the quarantine during Covid 19 and the stories of people, their fears and anxieties that they shared on social networks, which for a time became the only link to friends and family.
Using shadowgraphy, I was trying to capture the dark depths of the human soul, with all its terrors that find their way into the human mind to paralyze it. I chose the title "On the Deep" as a reference to the imaginary bottom of one's mental powers, where one sinks with the onset of psychological difficulties.
